THE HIDDEN TREASURE

THE HIDDEN TREASURE
(AN EXPOSITORY TO BOOK READING)

What is Treasure?
Treasure is a collection of valuable things such as gold, silver, and jewellery. A treasure is something highly valued.
The story was told of a man who had a piece of land with treasures of gold buried in it but he never discovered it. During the hard times he sold it and went in search of greener pastures elsewhere. A wise man sold all he has, bought the land, dug up the treasure and found himself a fortune. We can choose to be that wise man today by investing in books and building a library for ourselves.
Of all books written the bible is the greatest book ever. It is the oldest book with the latest information. No wonder Jesus says that "Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every word that proceed out of the mouth of God"(Matt4:4). It is the traveller's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, and the christian's charter.
Daniel 9:2 says
In the first year of his reign, I Daniel understood by books the number of the years whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of jerusalem. Daniel learnt by reading books.
Hosea 4:6 says
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have fogotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
God recognises the importance of reading books to acquire knowledge. It is not a surprise He said "I reject you from being a priest to me" because you have rejected kowledge.
Being well-read places you in the small percentages of people who have a broader perspective of life- the movers and shakers of the world. Why? Because readers have superior language and thinking skills. They also know the life outside their narrow slice of it. They can see the big picture and keep a sense of perspective because they have read enough to expand their minds beyond the parameters of their own lives.
Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. Why not befriend a book today.
We read to know that we are not alone. Through books we can have conversations with the minds of other people (even God)- how they think, what they believe, what they value and more importantly, we can find out more about ourselves.
It marvels me how we no longer take Bible Study serious. An ample time set aside to learn more about God from the greatest book ever- the bible.
A rule for predicting future success is to know the number of books in the home. Readers are leaders. Book teaches you what no body else would teach you. It exposes you to your real self- which is the greatest weapon of a man.
If you can read, you can learn anything. When ever you want to learn something new look for a book on it. Reading can transport you to different countries and cultures. It can take you on a great adventure.
Reading opens doors to places you never knew exist. Books have the power to take you into the future. Books make you know something you never knew how to go about. The worst crime ever is the one of not reading books. The failure to read good books darkens vision and strengthens mediocrity.
Reading good books enable the mind to think in making good decisions. It is food for the soul. Good books provide guidance to people on issues they have not yet been exposed to in life. It expands the mind on the ability to analyze issues well.
Reading good books keep your brain working and keeps you up to date on things happening around you. Reading expands your imagination and your knowledge.
Books can take you to times and places thet you could never go in real life. Our spirit is getting younger everyday as we are renewed by reading books. The day you stop reading you start growing old. The greatest gap in the world is the gap between knowing and doing. Read to learn and commit yourself to do what you have learnt. The more you read, the more you know. The more you know, the smarter you grow. The smarter you grow, the stronger your voice when speaking your mind or  making your choice.
Let me conclude by asking this question: Have you read a book today?

GOALS: The Sure Way To Success

GOALS: The Sure Way To Success

Have you ever wondered how you can become more satisfied in life--- how you can enjoy life more than ever?
Clarity accounts for probably 80% of success and happiness. Lack of clarity is more responsible for frustration and underachievement than any other single factor. That's why we say that " Success is goals and all else is commentary."
People with clear, written goals, accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without them could ever imagine. This is true everywhere and under all circumstances.
You could even say that the three keys to high achievement are, "Clarity, clarity, clarity," with regards to your goals. Your success in life will be largely determined by how clear you are about what it is you really, really want.
For you to discover your innete talents and gain complete clarity of your goals, you must put first things first.
Below are the seven step process for setting and achieving your goals.

The Seven Step Process for Setting And Achieving Your Goals

  • First, decide exactly what you want in each area of your life. Be specific!
  • Second, write it down, clearly and in details.
  • Third, set a specific deadline. if it is a large goal, break it down into sub-deadlines and write them down in order.
  • Fourth, make a list of everything you can think of that you are going to have to do to achieve your goal. As you think of new items, add them to your list.
  • Fifth, organise the items on your list into a plan by placing them in the proper sequence and priority.
  • Sixth, take action immediately.

Are You a Winner or a Champion?

Are you a winner or a champion?

Winning and losing is part of  life whether we accept it or not. In order to go up you have to give up also. It's that simple. Someone asked a question "Are you a winner or a champion?". This is not about losing or winning, its all about who you are and how you deal with adversities. So who are winners? ___ Winners are people who work hard and achieve the results they want, no matter what. They are Focused and all that matters is the end game mission accomplished. they know outcomes and leverage on principles like what most successful people do. This sounds good isn't it? In fact we want to be like these people.

Who is a Champion? A champion is a winner who isn't afraid of  losing or starting over again. A champion understands the dynamics of the game, he or she will always comeback no matter the obstacle. A champion looks beyond goals, they are visionaries. Champions are even more valuable when they have retired, they are always useful to their last breath, they don't give up, they have the mental stamina to withstand whatever is thrown at them. Champions are never forgotten! They have a longer perspective of thing and they always have Legacies behind them. Champions are Great individuals. Finally, they believe they have a higher calling.

Remain always a Champion.

Think On This Things

Think on this things!

There is nothing you have done, will do, or are doing in life that did not originate from your thoughts. Our thoughts are one of the most important cores of our life. You are the sum total of your thoughts. Your actions reveals your thoughts. Your thoughts speak through your words unconsciously. And the truth is,whoever, or whatsoever controls your thooughts controls your life. It's that simple. Everyone is investing to get control of your thought: God, satan, media and entertainment world, advert etc.

It has been said, almost 70,000 thoughts hit the mind of an average human everyday. Wow, that's amazing! Being able to sieve through these thought and decide which ones to entertain, dwell and meditate on is a very difficult task. Many have done stuff they regretted today because they didn't have a grip, control over their thought. Not every thought is worth thinking about. Like the Bible said, "fix your thought on what is true and honourable, right, and pure and lovely and admirable."

To your success,

Yes can be Harmful!

Yes can be harmful!

Have you ever experienced this awkward moment when you promised youself not to do just what you are doing? You just disappointed youself. You made the decision/promise with youself and broke the promise! You may think it's not a big deal but you need to take youself seriously on specific issues that can make or break you. Impressing others but you, is a danderous way to live. Impressive outside but a wreck inside is a total wreck and double sided living.

Jerry Bridges said, "Every time we say yes to temptation, we make it harder to say no the next time." In these deciding moments, don't listen to your body rather your spirit. Your old habit has a strong hold on your body. It has become your Habit Prisoner. That's the struggle addicts have to battle every day. Being firm with yourself is a starting point in the right direction to overcome your weakness. It's time to begin to hold youself accountable to not just another person but yourself. That's one of the best accountability you can have. Think about it.

Have a great day!

FOCUS

When we talk about the word FOCUS, it means making your eyes single. In short FOCUS  can be defined as: Follow One Course Until Successful.
If a man advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, he will experience a success unknown in common times. The outer limit of your potential is determined soly by your own beliefs and your own confidence in what you think is possible.

IF YOU DON'T KEEP YOUR HEAD UP, YOU
WON'T SEE YOUR SUCCESS.
There is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time to do the most important thing.

Questions To Ponder
1. What can I and only I do, that if done well, will make a real difference?
2. What are my highest value activities?
3. What is the most valuable use of my time, right now?
The things that matter most must never be at the mercy of the things that matter least.
Always Affirm your FOCUS. The law of expression says that,
Whatever is expressed is impressed. Whatever you say to yourself or others is impressed more deeply into your subconscious mind and more likely not only to be repeated, but to become a permanent part of your personality.
As it was told Joshua, so I conclude here; Be strong and be courageous, never lose sight of your dream and God will see you through.
